A lovely blank notecard featuring an illustration of a Flame Lily.

Illustrated by an anonymous Indian artist, 1846, for H.E.C Cleghorn.

Ink and watercolour over traces of pencil. Original artwork 230 x 293 mm.

The Flame Lily is abundant over Mysore springing up during the rains. Widley cultivated for it's beautiful flowers, the roots of this climbing lily are very poisonous.
