This deck of knowledge cards presents 48 species, a mere sampling of a fungi group reputedly in the millions, with only 14,000 varieties officially described. Artist Alexander Viazmensky calls mushrooms “flowers of the woods.” For decades he has specialized in painting life-sized mushroom portraits and personality-filled bouquets. His botanical artwork is held in museums and scientific collections around the world.
