Ferns and Fiddleheads

In this two-day workshop we will focus on the intricate details of ferns, understanding their patterns and formulas. We will look at the different shades of green found in a variety of species, as well as a range of textures from shiny fronds to hairy young buds. Over the weekend the puzzle of the fern will be solved with careful observation and exploratory paint work.

This is an in-person course running at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh. Participants must be 16+
