Join tutor Matthew Edwards as he discusses and explores the world of Himalayan poppies. These wonderful and beloved garden plants are suited to growing in the Scottish climate and have historic links to Edinburgh and Scotland. Learn about their habitat and growing conditions, the plant hunters that first brought them to the UK, the history of the plants in cultivation, and the pressures facing them in the wild today.
This is an in-person course running at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh. Participants must be 16+
