Explore the brilliant, hidden world of lichens with Botanic's scientist Caitlyn Johnstone. Often going unnoticed, lichens perform critical ecological functions and have been used by humans for everything from medicinal cures to scenting perfumes. Through this course we invite you to observe lichens in the Garden, learn about their role and structure, dissect them in the laboratory, and come away with a deeper understanding of these fascinating organisms.
