Haplanthodes verticillatus (Roxburgh) Majumdar.

Originally painted in the mid 19th century by an anonymous artist. The image depicts a plant growing at Dapuri Garden, Poona, India. 

Watercolour and bodycolour heightened with gum arabic over traces of pencil, overdrawn with ink. Original artwork size 27.9 x 43.3 cm; Paper watermarked 1846. Annotated: Haplanthus verticillaris (ink).

The frames are hand-finished timber rather than plastic or MDF, with the wood coming from sustainably managed forests in temperate climates.

Any offcuts from the manufacturing process including, timber, card, acrylic glazing are used to create smaller pieces of artwork across a multitude of cultural institutions.

All frames are packaged with recycled card corners, and everything leaves the workshop in Sussex in recyclable cardboard boxes.
