These finely crushed whelk shells are carefully washed, dried, and graded to create a smaller, more uniform decorative topping for plant displays. Produced from recycled shellfish by products, they provide a sustainable way to enhance pots, terrariums, and miniature planting arrangements.
The extra fine grade has been specially processed to achieve a consistent particle size, allowing the shells to sit neatly across the soil surface. This makes them particularly well suited to succulents, cacti, bonsai, terrariums, and other small potted plants where a refined finish is desired.

Please Note
As a natural product sourced from the sea, occasional traces of foreign material may remain despite thorough cleaning. Due to the porous nature of the shells, a mild natural aroma may occasionally be present when first opened. This will typically dissipate after exposure to fresh air and will not affect the product's performance.
The artwork featured on the packaging is created by watercolour artist Tanya Glama.

Pet Advisory
As a natural seafood by-product, the shells may attract the attention of some pets when first opened. It is recommended that pets are supervised during initial use and discouraged from eating the shells. While most animals quickly lose interest once the shells are in place, consuming them may cause digestive upset, vomiting, or stomach discomfort in some pets. If a significant quantity is ingested, veterinary advice should be sought.
