The tour starts at the John Hope Gateway (West Gate) Arboretum Place, EH3 3NZ. On arrival, please check in at the reception and have your booking name/number to hand. You do not need to print your ticket(s).
Availability is limited and advance booking is essential. Tickets must be purchased online in advance.
As this tour explores advanced topics and ideas, it is recommended for ages 12+. Under 14's must be accompanied by an adult.
High winds can trigger a Garden closure for staff and visitor safety. If high winds are anticipated and the Garden closes, you will be notified by phone/email and given a full refund.

This is an outdoor walking tour and includes uneven ground. We recommend wearing suitable clothing and comfortable footwear.

- All tours must be booked in advance online. Bookings close at midnight the night before the tour.
- All tours require advance payment to confirm your booking. Until we receive confirmation that payment has been made, we cannot confirm your space on the tour.
- As this tour explores advanced topics and ideas, the recommended participants age is 12+.
- Tours last approx. 90 minutes and will start at the John Hope Gateway (West Gate), Arboretum Place, EH3 3NZ.
- Tours are currently only available in English.
- We accept no liability for additional costs you may incur due to late arrivals, accidents, illness etc.

- You may cancel your booking up to 24 hours before the tour commences and receive a full refund for your tickets.
- Please be aware that to ensure the safety of our visitors, the Garden can close at short notice due to extreme weather. If the Garden is closed, we will have to cancel the tour. Any decision to cancel the tour will be taken no later than 10am on the day of your tour. We will make every effort to notify you of a cancellation, so it is essential you provide your daytime phone number and email address when booking.
- If your tour has been cancelled due to extreme weather, you will receive a full refund. No refunds or exchanges are permitted if the weather is inclement.
