Founded in 1670, the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh (RBGE) captures the imagination of everyone who visits.

World renowned for its horticultural excellence you will find more than 13,500 species of plants from 156 countries growing over the 70 acres that make up "The Botanics" as it is known locally. More than 128,000 plants make up the 10 distinct climatic zones including the Rock Garden, the Alpine Houses and, of course, the famous Glasshouses.
